I began to have problems with the second toe on my right foot, and after some internet research, decided it was the beginning of hammer toe or a similar deformity. I wasn't quite sure if these toe cushions would work, but I figured I would give them a try. They fit in the space between the ball of your foot and the toes. I put them on and wore them around for awhile and the pain I was feeling in my toes began to subside, eventually getting much better. The cushions are soft silicone, fit snugly and you hardly know they are there. Your socks help keep them in place. The only drawback to the order was the lack of detailed information on the Amazon.com advertisement. The item information said "pack of 2", but nowhere did it say the pack of 2 was a pair, one for each foot. So I ordered one each for my right and left feet. I received two packages, each with a pair in them. Not really misleading, but I would have bought one package if I had known that the "pack of 2" was both right and left. These cushions helped me, they might help you.
