Injinji Performance Mid-weight Mini Crew Sock, Black/Grey Review
I had a pair of the Performance Mini Crew Ininji toe socks, but alas I left them in a hotel room in LA. I find that toe socks, in general, are great for long runs. They keep me from getting blisters where my toes rub together. So, I decided to get these to replace my lost toe socks. I won't lie: I bought this pair because I like the way they look. Overall I like them. I see two very minor drawbacks that made me dock one star. The first is that they do not come as far up on the ankle as I'd like. The size I bought says 11-13 on the package, and I am about a 12.5 US, but they seem like they are just half an inch too low around the back of the ankle. I may get the next size up next time. The second issue is likely a matter of personal preference. The bottom and toe area of this sock is thicker thant the standard Performance Mini Crew I had before. It is taking me some time to get used to the extra amount of fabric between my toes. I do find the sensation to be slightly uncomfortable when I first put them on, but my feet gradually adjust to their new normal. I can see how the extra padding and support on the bottom of the sock will be helpful on longer runs, but I will likely get another pair of the Performance Mini Crews, as I found them to be more comfortable.
