I have been buying these files for years. They work great but obviously do need to be replaced on a semi regular basis. My feet tend to get callused pretty easily. I do a lot of yoga, live in a city and do a lot of walking, wear crappy shoes sometimes, and like to walk around barefoot in my backyard. In the summer, my feet can be in rough shape. I've tried other pumice stones and foot files and most of them feel like they're just rubbing against the skin. My mom had one of these and I tried it and was surprised by the difference. Her local nail place sells them so I picked one up and took it home. It is much sharper than other foot files and you do have to be careful not to file too hard but with the right amount of pressure it works great. The handle is plastic and it did eventually snap in half... I used the file half for a little while before ordering a new one here. The price was a bit lower than the nail salon, maybe about the same with shipping, so a very reasonable deal. That second one did also snap in half after a few months but I think the file is still great given the price and the efficacy of the file part itself. The handle is convenient but I still used the file just fine without it. I may just order two or three next time, to save on shipping, because I know I will go through more. If your feet get a little rough or dry or you just want to maintain them between pedicures, this is a great product!!
